The Bear Valley Ski Area is an hour away from Angels Camp in California and can be found on Highway 4 between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Bear valley elevation is as high as 8,500 ft (2,600 m) while the base elevation is 6,600 ft (2,000 m).

Bear Valley Directions
There are many routes which lead to Bear Valley Ski Valley Resort. The Ski Resort can be easily located on Highway 4, between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.
Road directions – To get there from the Bay Area, take 580 East to 205 to 120 East and continue to Bear Valley.From the Central Valley, take 99 North to 4 East and continue to Bear Valley and from Sacramento, take 99 South to 12 East to 49 South to 4 East and finally to Bear Valley.
To get to Bear Valley Ski Resort from Lake Tahoe/Reno during the summertime, take 4 West off 88 at Woodfords and carry on to the Bear Valley Mountain Ski Resort. During the winters (the Ebbetts Pass closes), then take 80 West, 50 West or 88 West from the Lake Tahoe Basin. Go to 99 South to 4 East and proceed to Bear Valley Mountain Ski Resort.
